The Fundraisers’ Bargain Basement Sale 2024 Raises PKR 1.25 Crore for Charity!

The 19th edition of the Fundraisers’ Bargain Basement Sale (BBS), held on 3rd November 2024 in Lahore, was a spectacular success, collecting over PKR 1.25 crore in just six hours. This iconic annual event, founded in 2005, offered designer clothing, vintage accessories, home décor, and upcycled furniture at unbeatable prices, attracting shoppers and charity enthusiasts alike.

Supporting Six Worthy Causes

All proceeds from the event will be donated to six incredible charities:

1. RS Foundation: Supporting education for underprivileged children
2. Pink Ribbon Pakistan: Providing breast cancer treatment
3. Lahore Hospital Welfare Society: Funding free patient care
4. Sab Saath: Installing water filtration pumps in Sindh
5. Mama Baby Fund: Delivering emergency boat ambulances for mothers and infants
6. BBS Foundation: Offering public shower and barber services in Lahore

Highlights from BBS 2024

This year’s sale introduced ‘BBS Upcycled,’ a collection of furniture redesigned by local artisans, emphasizing sustainability in collaboration with the Lahore Biennale Foundation (LBF). Additionally, a live auction of exclusive art pieces raised an impressive PKR 585,000.

A Milestone Year for BBS

Organizer Nuria Rafique-Iqbal celebrated this year’s achievements, stating, “We are thrilled to have raised over PKR 12.5 million in record time. This brings our total charitable contributions to over PKR 100 million since BBS began. We’re grateful for our sponsors, volunteers, and supporters for making this possible.”
