Pakistan and the United Kingdom continue to reinforce their close relationship, emphasizing mutual interests in trade, investment, and climate action. During a high-level meeting in Islamabad, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for the Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, Hamish Falconer, met with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Ishaq Dar, to discuss a roadmap for enhanced cooperation.
The discussions reviewed the full spectrum of bilateral relations, with both sides recognizing the shared goals in economic collaboration and regional stability. Senator Ishaq Dar highlighted the need to evolve the Pakistan-UK relationship into a strategic partnership, reflecting the rich history of their cooperation and the aspirations of the vibrant 1.7 million-strong British Pakistani community.
