All-rounder Agha Salman of Pakistan has shown his support for former Test captain Babar Azam in the wake of his inability to turn starts into significant scores in the current Test series against Bangladesh.

Babar Azam was removed for 37 on the second day of the Rawalpindi Test, falling short of a half-century once more, this time by Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan.
This was his fifteenth straight Test innings where he failed to score 50 runs. Before getting bowled out, Pakistan’s batting lineup could only muster 274 runs in their opening innings.
After the play of the day, Agha Salman spoke to the media and supported Babar Azam, saying, “Babar is a world-class cricketer.” These moments arise for every hitter, but it’s crucial to keep in mind that the other ten players on the team also need to step up.
After two overs, Bangladesh finished the day with 10 runs without loss, but Pakistan regretted four catches that could have altered the outcome of the match.

During the Test match series against Bangladesh, former Indian wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik voiced his concerns over recent troubles of Pakistani captain Babar Azam.
Known for his perceptive commentary, Karthik acknowledged Babar’s remarkable batting abilities while also pointing out how much pressure the star batsman faces in his role as captain.
In the first innings of the second rain-affected Test match, Babar scored 31 from 77 deliveries.
In the previous Test match at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium against Bangladesh, the Pakistani squad was not happy with the outcome.
Babar had a tough game; he was out for a duck in the first over and scored just 22 runs in the second, barely escaping a second duck thanks to a lost catch.

Pakistan lost to Bangladesh by an astonishing 10-wicket margin, their first-ever Test defeat.
In an interview for Cricbuzz’s “Hey CB with DK,” Karthik recognized Babar’s skill as a player but also mentioned how being captain had an impact on his output.
“Babar Azam is an unquestionably talented player. Though I think he’s under a lot of strain, he has excellent batting potential,” Karthik remarked.
In addition, Karthik chastised Pakistan for their early declaration during the opening Test match against Bangladesh.
